NEW PROJECT

Having started a new project, here is a concept for the character's face.

MUNNY BUB

Well, over the weekend I purchased a Munny Bub. Here's how it turned out.

I had alot of fun with it. I added SuperSculpey and bargain paint. But overall, I think it turned out pretty well.

Carlos gets facial

So I've been working on getting the facial rig done for Carlos. I decided to go with curved based rig as opposed to the blendshape method I'm used to. So far it's exceeded my expectations. The transformations are more fleshy than before with littler effort. I still have to find a way to blend this new system with blinks and also find a way to attach eyebrow and mustache geometry so that it is all intuitively controlled. More progress coming soon.

Carlos Short daily

Here's a little snippet of the title sequence from the Carlos short. 

Alimentos Bandido loosely translates to Food Bandit.

    I'm definitely trying to make a full push for getting done with Carlos. He's been sitting in the To-Do box way too long. And will probably be making some rounds on the animator pool to help get this done. And sound. I would like it to be done by next year so that I could possible put it in some shows, but its all in the air at this point. and it kinda depends on how fast this thing comes together.

    I know that there is a lot of work to do. I have to finalize the storyboards/script. I also have to iron out some of the details and style of the short.  I have some environment blocks done and the rig is almost done, waiting on a full facial rig. Before I finish the environment, I definitely need to finish style sheets and drawings of the environment props. But all in all, this is definitely going to be an awesome project to work on.  I can't wait to get to the good stuff.

Result of ADD

Well kinda got sidetracked a little and went on a creative splurg.

This is my desktop. Fitted with RocketDock and Rainmeter.

 In the mean time, I'm working on updating websites and blogs to a new design, even though I just changed it.
I think I have found the perfect layout and design for me though.
